Teenage pop sensation Billie Piper yesterday revealed she was still struggling to come to terms with
her superstar status.
The 15-year-old, whose debut single Because We Want To shot to number one, played to 2000 young fans in Aberdeen
as part of an anti-drugs campaign by Grampian Health Promotions.
Billie, who was mobbed by fans, said: "I am loving it but it's hard work. I still cannot understand what all
the fuss is about - I was never really a huge fan of anyone myself.
"When you get people coming up to you and saying you have been a great inspiration for their kids it makes
you feel special."
Billie, who went to the Sylvia Young Theatre School which groomed Baby Spice Emma Bunton, paid tribute to
the Spice Girls.
But she knows she has a job to make it as big. She said: "They have got a huge fan base all over the world,
and they are a total phenomenon, but they're cool."
Billie, whose next single is set for release in September, now kicks off a European tour.
